Has anyone ever tried to make freezer/refrigerator jam? How about plum jelly?

I had some jars and a sample mix and plastic jars from last year, and my husband has a good many plums right now. I decided to put the two together, but I'm not sure how it will taste! And it takes a LONG TIME to peel enough plums to make 1 and 2/3 cups of crushed plums!

No no no, you don't have to peel them silly. Boil them in H20 and then toss them into a sink full of ice water. The skins will fall off.
Or better yet, I just put them in a strainer with cheese cloth and strain the juice out after they have cooked. Then I add sugar and sure jell. The recipe is in the box.
Yum, I love good plum jelly.

Carpe Diem.
