I think the drink mixes you can make and put in a container are a good idea - there are lots of recipes on the Internet, and they're easy and tasty.

Those are really cute, but are way outta my budget right now. I've got a few to buy for and don't wanna spend more than a $$ for each. smile.gif

I need to make Christmas goodies for some teachers and for the bus drives that take my students on CBI and to PAES lab. These are going to be from my class but I have to make them tonight. I don't have a lot of time so I was wondering if anyone had some quick recipes or ideas.. I just want to make a few different goodies and pack then into tins and hand them out..
THANKS!!!!!

Do gifts in a jar (like candies, soup or cookie mixes) or maybe make a tin of cookies or fudge for them.
Sometimes no comment is the best comment.

Go to wal-mart, In the back is the Loarann flavor oil, by the wedding stuff, on the end shelf! Make some hard Christmas candy. Cheap and makes a lot! Put it in some jars with bows! DONE!

Gift Mug
Another suggestion is to fill a big coffee mug with the following and attach a pretty card with the explanation:
Mounds candy bar: For the mounds of information you taught me.
Crayon: To color your day like you colored mine.
Gum: Because you stuck by me.
Puzzle Piece: Because without you, my year wouldn't have been complete.
Hugs and Kisses: Because you made it all worthwhile.
Cup: For when yours is overflowing.
Coffee or Tea: Because you deserve a chance to sit back and relax.
And any other personalized memento that may seem appropriate.

I think gift cards are good. You wouldnt have to do more than $5 or so.

Rice Krispy treats are quick & easy. And you can always sprinkle them with red decor sugar to make them festive.

I'm making truffles tonight-2 ingredients
8 oz cream cheese softened
16 squares bakers semi sweet chocolate ( divided)
Melt 8 squares chocolate
mxix cream cheese until softened, pour in melted chocolate
refrigerate till firm
Takes about 30 min to a hour in refrigerator
Take out and roll into balls
Melt the rest of chocolate
let it cool a little bit
dip balls in chocolate
refrigerate again until firm
put in small cupcake papers and put in tin boxes
give as presents

you can also roll these in powdered sugar or coconut or you can put sprinkles on top of dipped truffles

blah blah blah

Normally I give gift cards to grocery stores (everybody's gotta eat). This year I am doing something a little different. A friend of mine opened a biscuit shop (Sunrise Biscuits) in front of Bentwater. To help support his new business I am giving gift cards for biscuits.

I got to Sam's and buy a 4 pack of something and then split it. Last year I bought a 4 pack Christmas plates, 4 pack of candles and two (3) packs of fuzzy socks. Plus the two extra pair of socks I was able to give to the AM and PM bus drivers.

I think I spent a total of $20 on four teachers and two bus drivers!
