According to a reliable source, last night at the NP football game, the announcer told the EP score and that they lost and the crowd applauded and celebrated!

I understand that "the entire county" has issues w/ EP, you have all made everyone aware, but come on people...I can't believe that you would embarrass our county and applaud the loss of a very important and heartfelt game that our BOYS (not adults) lost.

I have family at EP and NP and support them both. But...I am so disappointed that our county won't stand behind these football players going into such a hard region and pulling out so many wins and had an excellent chance to WIN that region. Whomever celebrated at that game last, Shame on you!!

I truly wished that our entire county would put aside their differences with the coaches, parents and whoever else and get behind these boys and support them into these playoffs! These players need you! This doesn't have to be just for East Paulding! This could be for the entire COUNTY, if you would allow it to be. Pack up your gear, wear something BLACK and come join us in these games and support these players! Let's come together as a COUNTY! That is what we want! smile.gif

<~~~~~~~This Raider fan gave a lost family from Milledgeville directions to NP so they would be there in time to see their son play.

SHAME on those that booed...

I thought the cheering had to do with the defensive play that NP made.

I will have to say that your source was wrong as where I was sitting in the stands. There was a big play about the same time the score was given and yes we did cheer our wolf pack team on to a big win for the guys last night.

I really think you need to check from another source on this information last night.

I was also very proud of the welcome that was given to our son in the stands last night as he is home from serving our country.

GO WOLFPACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have to agree with this. I was there and no one around me cheered about the score.

It's HIGH SCHOOL football people, other then the for the players it really shouldn't mean that much.

... And SMILES.... I was sitting a few rows behind you and we were VERY proud for you and the welcome that your soldier got !! That was AWESOME ! He is a very handsome young man.

GO WOLFPACK.... AND RAIDERS !!!! I can't wait til next year.

Well, what is stupid is the fact that you are on here "defending this fact"! You can all say what you want, I didn't say that everyone was cheering for this, but my source says that there were DEFINITE cheers for the EP loss! There is NO DENYING this!

So, Let's just move on...my house will continue to cheer for EP & NP! I have the right to defend either of these schools or sports! You know what kills me is that your "pride" is just too big to just support other teams in YOUR county!

Go EP in the playoffs! We'll just see how many of you people come out and support these boys play their hearts out! I certainly will!

When I was in high school @ PCHS we were always rivals with East Paulding and I always remember it being very competitive. I dunno!

I will defend what I know is right. Your source is probably the one doing the cheering if any cheering for the EP loss was going on.

Just seems that some people are not happy that NP had a won last night.

I wish EP the best in the playoff games!!!!!!!!!!!

I was at the game also, enjoying one of our best games of the season played by our boys, at the time not really worried about what was happening at another game, so get over yourself,it is people like you and a few others on this board that give EP a bad name.

No pretty much this topic is stupid, even if it was done, which it doesn't sound like it was its a rivalry and would be ok if it was done. Ever been to UGA or GT game, when they announce the opposite teams score and they are losing or lost the team cheers, it happens everywhere and is not a big deal. Its all in fun. Hard for people who don't know much about sports to understand though I guess. I cheer for all the schools and have no problem with it at all. All in fun. Now that NP's season is over I'm sure many will come cheer for EP in the playoffs.

Source, ha. My source said this is ridiculous. You weren't even there.

good lord, don't get your knickers in a wad over something so trival - seriously the majority of the cheering was for the game in front of us.....however I have to ask why should our fans have to be sorry for your loss? I didn't hear a lot of EP fans concerned with our many losses. (please know that I exclude my dear friends at EP and they know who they are) it's high school football

and I agree with BBall how many Dawg fans boo when Tech has a loss or vice versa???

Very true Prater Mom, I remember a thread on here not long ago from an EP fan blaming Coach Webb for moving us into varsity games too soon. It's football people!! This is the 2nd game we have won all year I hate it that we were cheering our boys on when the score was announced. Should We have had a moment of silence or something?? Sorry guys I know I'm being pissy, but your right I'm a Bama fan and My husband is a dawg fan. He was cheering for LSU tonight but what can you do???

The only reason that I posted anything was b/c I would like for "our county" to support one another. Let's be rivals with other counties not each other (unless we are playing then we have to choose, but you know what I mean) I'm not on here to fight with any of you! I wasn't there, but my family was! Maybe you didn't cheer but I know that there certainly were people that did! So, if you didn't then great. But...this post was for the ones who did.

I know that in football and sports you have to choose a team. I'm all for that, but EP has caught crap from every newspaper and school in the county. Maybe, some of it was justified. I don't know. I would just like to see their owncounty support them through the playoffs. That's all. If you don't agree, ok?

I apologize if I offended you on here. That was not my intention. Just standing up for some great kids that are playing their butts off! Just as I supported PCHS when they went to the playoffs several years ago and Hiram/South Paulding/North Paulding! I choose to support them all!

County rivalry is part of the game. Next thing you will think is we should go to flag football so no one touches the other one too hard.

I get where you are coming from, I completely understand your loyalty. I think when it really comes down to it we do all support one another, like i said I don't know if there was booing & it really doesn't matter. We all love our teams & some of us get a little to carried away but that is just part of it.

I agree....it is called rivalry and I really do not see how this is an issue. It is supposed to be football...not badminton. Go to any college or pro game and you will see the same thing when a rivals score is posted.

So if your team wins Your crowd does not cheer? Are you serious? I don't think they did anything rude or wrong.
