Took a look tonight at the 5-AAAAA playoff bracket

If we are 1st in our region, our most likely opponent will be Milton from Alpharreta, then the winner of Peachtree Ridge vs Parkview.

Newnan (top seed 4-AAAAA) is undefeated on this side of the bracket, so would we end up there if we make it to the 3rd round? (The Raider Brigade went to a competition there last year)

This would also keep Lowndes co away till the Championship Game!


If 2nd, we would likely play Lassiter, then the winner of N. Gwinnett vs Dacula. Stephenson & Union Grove are tied at 8-1 in 2-AAAAA, but Stephenson plays a lower ranked team next friday, Union Grove plays ML King who has the same 5-1 region record but over all is 7-2.

Next Friday in 5-AAAAA, #1 plays #4 and #2 plays #3. We all know if Etowah wins, we will be 1st, but if Harrison wins, will that automatically make us 2nd even if the game is close?

Either way, THE EPHS RAIDERS ARE PLAYOFF BOUND!!!

Yes the only way East can win the region is for Harrison to loose to Etawoh... and East would still have to beat Woodstock cant forget about them, its not gonna be a easy game. If Harrison looses and East wins.. East and Etawoh both 9-1, East as you know owns the tie break so we would be region champs, so lets take care of our end, and lets hope the Eagles can live up to their hype!

East just needs to win and wrap up a home game. I do think Etowah may be playing as good as anyone right now and if I were a betting man I believe they will lay it on Harrison next week. All the more reason to win and not end up the #3 seed!!

Not exactly.... Woodstock isnt in the play-offs yet.

If Kennesaw Mt. beats Marietta, McEachern beats Cherokee, and East wins then Kennesaw Mt. gets the 4th seed
If Marietta beats Kennesaw Mt. , McEachern wins, and Woodstock loses McEachern gets the 4th seed
The Only way Woodstock gets into the playoffs is with a win, or a Cherokee win over Mceachern. So really the only way they get in is with a win over East. Without that they lose most tiebreakers.

So just as 1-3 seeds are wide open, the 4th seed can be McEachern, Kennesaw Mt, or Woodstock could all make it.

Also if Harrison wins and East loses we would still get the number two seed, cause we beat etowah, so therefore it would be like this:


1. Harrison
2. East
3. Etowah
4. Don't really know yet, cause Woodtock has to beat East to get in the playoffs.( I dont' know if that will happen).
