Anyway, I came home and started stroganoff in my crock pot. It turned out SO WELL, I just had to share the recipe.
Ingredients:
1 lb beef stew meat
1 pkg. instant onion soup mix
1 can beef broth
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 8 oz. container sour cream
1 Tbs corn starch
2 Tsb water
Egg noodles
Place stew meat in crock pot. Add onion soup mix and beef broth. Cook on low heat for about 6 hours. Turn crock pot on high and stir in one can cream of mushroom soup. Cover and cook 1 hour. Stir in carton of sour cream, recover, and cook for another 20 minutes. Mix 1 Tbs corn starch with 2 Tbs water until smooth and stir into crock pot (this will thicken up the sauce). Cover and cook another 10-15 mintes. Serve over noodles.
Oh!! This turned out SO YUMMY!! And the meat was so tender you could cut it easily with a fork.
