Just wondering what other folks are doing...

This colder weather calls for something thick and cooked slowly, I thought, so I'm making a beef stroganoff in the crock pot. We're gonna have steamed asparagus on the side.

It sure smells good here at my house! I wub.gif the crock pot!

What are you having?

Homemade veggie beef soup leftover from last night. Should be even better tonight, and I'll make a pan of cornbread to go with it.

Mmmmm...I'm gonna do chili one day this week, too. Got all the stuff to make it this weekend.

I cannot IMAGINE not liking chili...but then, I'm from Texas! wink.gif

We did pork chops last night on the grill, with that yummy honey-lemon-BBQ sauce/marinade. I had leftovers of that for lunch today. Yum.

but I don't measure it...this is all approximate
okay putting it here it is pretty simple peel, core and slice apples but them in a baking dish this is for a large 9 in baking dish, I have a large family...

I use 1 cup all purpose flour

1/2 cup granulated white sugar

1/2 cup light brown sugar

1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon salt

4 beaten eggs

ground cinnamon

fresh or ground nutmeg

2 sticks of melted butter
for the topping mix flour, sugars and salt together, beat the four eggs and mix dry and wet together until crumbly and incorporated, sprinkle crumbly mix on top of apples. next sprinkle nutmeg and cinnamon on that mixture don't over sprinkle, it will over power the other flavors, then poor the melted butter on top and bake at 350 until golden brown..
we have never used rolled oats, and we serve with vanilla ice cream Granny served it with home made hand churned ice cream..

I wonder if it would be as good if I didn't peel the apples...lotsa good stuff in the peel...

When you say 9" baking dish, I'm guessing you mean a 9 X 13?
