Drive by shooting leaves teen injured in Emerald Pines

Paulding Deputies are seeking a suspect in the apparent drive-by shooting of a 16 year old white male in the leg at the Emerald Pines Subdivision north of Hiram-Sudie road. The shooting occurred sometime around 2:30 this afternoon.

Authorities are seeking another white male dressed in all black clothing driving a red vehicle; possibly a SUV such as a Ford Explorer. Deputies are stopping cars in the vicinity of the shooting.

Wonder why reporting is so slow?

Just got back from the basement of the Annex where the counting is going ... well slow.

I talked with Brian Keahl who was one of the election observers and he reported that the first hold up was the verification of the approximate 5000 early votes cast last week. The issue was exacerbated when just after the loaded the information, the computer presented, according to Keahl, the blue screen of death.

In any case, Keahl reported that with the verification out of the way and the votes entered, as soon as the computer is rebooted and reviewed, the counting should go quickly.

In any case, we're all waiting on the officials to come out with their tallies and when the start coming, it should be more like a dam breaking. Thought you'd like to know.
